 Word of God

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work." 2 Timothy 3: 16, 17 (NLT)

Getting the Word of God into the hands of every child of God is a priority of UnderStand Up! International Ministries. But we don't plan to stop there. As important as it is to make available the Bible to all who want it, we also understand the necessity of teaching, discipleship and nurturing.

Teaching

By using entrenched missionaries sponsored by our Works of Faith ministry or other means, we will teach  local residents to understand and love God's Word. This will be done by using Bibles written in the local language and provided at no cost by UnderStand Up! to the teachers and residents.  We will strive to teach in the local language and make the Truth of God relevant to local customs, history and social conditions.

Discipleship

As our teachers are teaching the Bible, they will be looking for capable locals to disciple and raise up as future teachers also. We want to empower these leaders to spread the Word among themselves in a real and relevant way.

Nurturing

After teaching and discipling is done, we intend to keep in contact with these individuals and make sure they get the Bibles, training and study materials they need to continue their ministry as effective Bible Teachers.
